Morning Glory

The past few days have been an absolute girly blast with my dear OKC friend, Lindsey, in town! Last night, BF, Linds and I all went to one of my favorite Kansas City restaurants {Blanc Burgers + Bottles} for some gourmet fare and then we ditched BF {I still wub ewe!} for a girly movie outing.

Okay, let me preface this by saying that I absolutely and wholeheartedly love going to the movies. For whatever reason they seem absolutely magical to me, taking me to far off places, making me laugh or inspiring me by someone's story.

The first time I saw the trailer for "Morning Glory" I almost died from sheer happiness and fantastical expectation. Not only is the lead Rachel McAdams, but she also plays a struggling morning show producer trying to mold her broadcast career into something admirable. Naturally, with the journalism/broadcasting/public relations degree I hold, I knew this movie was right up my alley!

I have to admit that I had to give myself a little pep talk to calm myself down before the movie. I am the type of person who will work something up in her head with the most optimistic expectation. I would say 70 percent of the time the big let down typically follows... but not this time!

Rachel McAdams was passionate, poised and powerful in her headlining role. Her intensity and love for her career truly flew off the screen at you. The Diane Keaton + Harrison Ford combination was absolutely hysterical, not to mention several other pee-your-pants moments.

*Sigh...* I haven't loved a movie this much in a long time, so I hope you make plans to go and love it too.

{ I promise you won't be let down! }

For your viewing pleasure...

Happy Weekend!
