Happy Goosebumps!

For all you silly non-Gleeks out there, I think I have a clip that will totally change your opinion of this epic show! As I curled up with my puppy to watch that glorious Glee last night, I didn't have any preconceived expectations. It finally looks like Glee has made it's way back to it's season one roots (which means brilliance...)!

...I was BLOWN AWAY!

The main soloist in this clip is 23-year-old Darren Criss, a newcomer and outstandingly talented addition to the Glee cast. Hailing from San Francisco (I like him already!), he got his BFA in music theater from the University of Michigan (no wonder he's awesome - amazing theater school right there!).

Criss's GLEE performance was not his first act to receive such mass notoriety. While still at U of M, Criss and his colleagues formed a theater production company (StarKid Productions) and produced "A Very Potter Muscial" and "A Very Potter Sequel".

After posting both to youtube, they gained widespread acclaim and have now collectively had more than 25 million hits. I spent a solid hour watching both on youtube last night... absolutely hilarious!

So, please go right ahead and watch this clip and tell me it does nothing for you... I dare you!;)

{ Isn't it incredible?! }

PS - For more on Darren Criss check out this awesome interview with Vanity Fair.

Happy Goosebumps!

  1. Okay so I have never watched Glee and I can't watch the video clip at work (district email rejects it!), I do suspect that I'd like the show were I a faithful follower. It's hard to jump into the middle of a show like this and catch up--maybe it's a start from the beginning sort of thing?

  4. Hi Meg,

    I have to agree with you, I thought his performance made the show last night. I can't get enough.

    This season I have been somewhat disappointed with Glee, Rocky Horror was better but last nights show was the OLD Glee and the reason I am proud to say I AM A GLEEK!!

  5. I've never been a GLEEK, but I watch Glee. This season (aside from the Britney episode because I love her) had been a total letdown...until last night. I feel like they had strayed away from any type of story line and were just singing random songs. Well hello story line...nice to see you again! Last night completely redeemed the entire season...and it's probably my favorite episode thus far!

  17. I just started following, and I have to say that as much as I don't watch Glee, I googled the clip and I was so excited to see mainstream tv stepping out of the 'box'. It's about time someone told the world it was okay.
