Eat, Pray, Love-ly!

I went to see the highly anticipated "Eat, Pray, Love" last night and fell in love. Julia Roberts as Liz was so honest, raw, and lovable in her screenplay, the storyline is so inspirational, and it really moved me in a way I wasn't expecting.

{ Go see it ASAP... you'll love it so much!}



Like Liz, I am also a very independent girl. I am so blessed to have already traveled solo, experienced life to the fullest, and learned
how to find and love myself.

After the movie, my mind started turning about where I would
travel to go Eat, Pray, Love... my way!

Fairytale Weekend

Happy Friday, lovely readers! I don't know about all of you, but I have been anxious for this wonderful weekend to arrive. Alas... it's time to escape the office and let the fun commence!

I am definitely looking forward to my Saturday night adventure. My partner-in-crime and I are headed out to the magical Starlight Theatre for date night to see Beauty & The Beast the musical.

The theatre itself looks like a beautiful castle! By the time the show starts we'll be enjoying the best of Broadway under the twinkly stars!




I have a cousin date tonight, which will be a blast! We're planning to grab tapas at one of our favorite restaurants and then planning to see "Eat, Pray, Love"... so pumped!!

Later on in the evening it's expected to be full of thunderstorms {my fave!}, which will make for a relaxing & cozy night's rest! Mmmm....

Tonight: Shooting Star Pallooza

Grab some comfy blankets and all of your favorite people! Tonight marks the annual Perseid meteor shower - the most spectacular light show you have ever seen!

The peak of the shower will happen around midnight tonight {lasting til the wee hours of Friday} with the best viewing in the northeast portion of the sky. Given the right combo of dark skies and perfect moonlight, more than 75 brilliant shooting stars per hour are expected.



I have so many great memories of star gazing with my family when I was little! My parents would tip toe into our bedrooms super early in the morning to wake us up.

I'll always remember laying out on the back porch together watching the night sky as bright stars would whiz by over and over again.

This is one of the greatest productions Mother Nature has to offer! If you have yet to witness this fantastic display, this is a MUST SEE.

Super excited to go out to the 'burbs tonight, spread out a big picnic blanket and watch the stars fly by with BF. May need a big Starbucks in the morning, but it's totally worth the lack of zzzz's!

Getting Hitched

No not me, you weirdos, but I am flattered that you thought I was cool enough to get married. The bride is my dear childhood friend Paige. I am off for a weekend at home to celebrate with my friends and family.

Can't wait to see little Paige walk down the isle and I'm even more excited that soon after their honeymoon, they'll be my new KC neighbors! Yay!
