WE DID IT!!!
USA lives on to see another round of World Cup play thanks to Landon Donovan! After an intense first half of seemingly frantic ball play, we finally got our act together just in time - 91st minute goal madness!

We're in the process of planning our elaborate fall wedding. Planning on a lovely outdoor vineyard, you know, just a small gathering of about 500-700 people.



Still in the process of picking out flowers, cake flavors and such, but with Landon being so busy right now, it's been hard to finalize details. Don't worry, you're save the dates are in the mail... get excited!

Best. Weekend. Ever.
Seriously, it was wonderful and I loved every minute of it! Just a whole bunch of little wonderful things that made me smile uncontrollably.

1) Twilight Saga Mararthon

- I spent all Friday night lusting over my favorite vampires/werewolves for 5 delicious hours - I heart girls night! Call me crazy, but that 2nd movie left me very Team Jacob... hello abs! Uh oh!




2) Zumba Maniac

- I woke up early on Saturday morning and enjoyed a wonderful workout - thanks Zumba!


3) Sunbathing Beauty... I think...

- Well, I tried to get some sun on Saturday afternoon... if it wasn't for the massive thunderstorm that rolled in 10 min. after applying sunscreen, I might actually be *less* white. It was fun while it lasted!




4) "My boyfriend's back and you're gunna be in trouble!"

- Yep, my buddy is back from lovely Paris. Couldn't be happier! His stories were so funny and wonderful - #1 vicarious GF right here! Plus, I was showered with the sweetest gifts ever... I love all of my new treasures!

5) POGS

- If you were born in the 80's PLEASE tell me you remember playing POGS? Well, BF and I found his old collection and played for a good hour.
Don't ask me who won, I'm still bitter...


6) Adopted Sunday

- Unfortunately, I was unable to head home for Father's Day, but I was "adopted" by BF's fam for the day. Packed full of a great company, church potluck, World Cup watching, relaxing and a delicious dinner, it made me one happy girl.


7) Daddy Day

- So very happy that I at least got to talk to my Daddy and set-up a Father's Day raincheck. WAY excited for a family visit in July.

8) Kickball Queen Right Here

- Church kickball team games couldn't be more fun! And I'm actually not THAT bad... woah. Yep, that's right, the back of my jersey even reads "Queen of Kick" - look out world!




9) Home Sweet Home

- After dog/cat/house sitting for a week, I am happy to be back in more own cozy apartment. Dorthy was right - there's no place like home!


10) Back to Blogging

- It was a nice little hiatus, I'm not going to lie, but last night I was happy to get back to [Life of Meg] to set up this week's Mingle Monday!

In the middle of chic San Francisco was a brand new bakery called Sophie's Sweets. Owned and operated by the young and fabulous Sophie herself, the place was definitely the new city hot spot.

Business had been drastically picking up due to great media coverage in the last week, so Sophie knew she needed to higher some help quick! Unfortunately, it was Saturday, and she knew that was the busiest day at the bakery.

Go Babies, Go!

If you haven't seen the documentary "Babies" yet, you HAVE to go! Last night I ventured to the cute little independent film theater with my cousin to FINALLY go see this fabulous film.

I wasn't really sure what to expect before going into it, but we laughed so ridiculously loud { ...maybe even a snort or 2... } the WHOLE TIME.



If you are even remotely curious about this film, go see it! Charming, honest and adorable - these 4 kids simply captivate and pull you into their amazing stories!

Just thinking about it makes me want to go back and see it again... 5 star rating for sure!

Have a Goofy Weekend!

Hurray!! It's finally Friday and I've been looking forward to this weekend, well... all week! So many fun/goofy things to look forward too...

bf comes home (ahhhh!) + lots of stories + world cup
no more dog sitting + r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g + quality time

Yup, so completely excited for Twilight saga movie marathon tonight with the girls. Tomorrow I'm going to get my workout and pool on, and then BF will be back tomorrow night! Can't wait to listen to hours and hours of his wonderful stories and just some quality time!

If only I could zap myself home time machine style for Daddy's Day on Sunday, then my weekend would be perfect { Love you, Pappy! }.

I don't know about you guys, but there are very few things that can relax me, make me feel gorgeous, and that I love more than a trip to the salon!

Plus, I've FINALLY found the perfect stylist!

Not only did she read my mind, she also created the most beautiful bright, long, blond locks that I had been missing! As if that wasn't awesome enough... I basically went to one of the best metro salons and paid half price!

This morning I woke up feeling great and confident {love that feeling!}! I wasn't sure if anyone would notice, but everyone kept asking me if I got a haircut, lost weight, or if I was wearing a new outfit.


{ Now THAT is how you know your stylist did good! }

HECK YES!


Now that I am blondified and beach ready, I need to find my perfect summer dress... right? RIGHT!

Bringin' Sexy Back

Result time is here! Do you remember a month-ish ago when I told you about my work's Biggest Loser competition...?

Well, today was weigh in day! Although I did not win the entire jackpot, i am still super proud of myself...


{ GOODBYE 8 lbs! }





It was so much fun and such a good motivator, so we decided to do it again! We have 7 weeks this time, so I have a good chance. No more medical issues and yucky inflammation and retained water as a result.

PS- I went to try out a ZUMBA class tonight, and WOW - It kicked my butt... I LOVE IT! I'm totally hooked and excited now! Bringin' sexy back one cha-cha move at a time!
