Confessional Friday

Hey there gal pals! Happy Friday to you!
For the first time in a long time, the week sure flew by for me. And with my fabulous parentals driving up to Kansas City for a visit, I couldn't be more excited that the weekend!

Today I'm linking up with Leslie's weekly Confessional Friday: Link-Up over at A Blonde Ambition... please join the fun with me!

1) I confess that... I am ridiculously excited to announce that I am now offering extremely affordable blog sponsorships to all! Yes, that means your Etsy shop, small business, or blog! I've received several e-mails lately asking about budget friendly opportunities, so here they are!

Monthly sponsorship price ranges from only $10-22!! Click HERE to see how easy it is to get your own ad - it only takes a minute! :)

2) I confess that... lately, I am embarrassingly obsessed with Grab the Gold bars. BF got me hooked when he mentioned they were a protein laden healthier version of a no bake cookie. I know they don't look that tasty from that photo, but Oh. My. Word. They taste EXACTLY like a no bake cookies, but with tons of protein and fiber, and minimal added sugar!

This is not good that I know how to purchase these!

3) I confess that... I have not washed my face before bed this entire week. Now before you get totally grossed out, know that I am completely obsessed with the Neutrogena Deep Clean Face Wipes. Although I shouldn't avoid washing my face every single night, it's nice to have a back-up when I am tired (aka: ridiculously lazy).

4) I confess that... I am secretly loving my doctor putting me on couch arrest. I've been increasing mileage on my daily runs and have now developed hip and knee bursitis in my IT band. Don't worry, I know it sounds no fun (and it is kind of ouchy!), but nothing good ol' ice packs, rest, pain meds, and my overflowing DVR can't fix! ;)

5) I confess that... I can't wait to visit the farmer's market with my mom on Saturday morning, buy lots of peaches, and make my dad these rustic mini peach pies for Father's Day. Best child award? I think so.

6) I confess that... I am beyond pumped to see all of you who signed up for the Soak Up the Sun - Blog Gift Swap! Are you signed up? Entries close next Wednesday. Don't miss out - hurry, hurry, hurry!

7) I confess that... I secretly want to know more after hearing about 50 Shades of Gray. Tons of friends are raving... maybe I'll finally cave? Have you read it?!

.:::.:::.:::.:::.:::.

Alrighty, ladies... I'm off to finish up my Friday, hit up a few Relay for Life events for work, and then let me weekend begin! I'll be taking photos and have plenty of tasty recipes, weekend stories, and inspiration to share... stay tuned!

Also! Don't forget to stop by on Monday for my week-long Mingle Monday blog hop! Grab new followers and great exposure!

Have a beyond lovely weekend, dolls!

  3. Those peach pies do look amazing. I confess that I had baked brie with apricot jam yesterday. If that doesn't make you feel better, I don't know what will. I also secretly want to read 50 Shades of Gray. Let me know if you go forward with it. Enjoy your family time!

  4. I've read two of the 50 Shades books. They are good...easy reads, kinky, and can be kind of interesting (the emails back and forth between the two are my favorite part). Im taking a break and reading another book right now before I read the third one. Definitely try the first one and see what you think!

  5. Hey Girl - Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment AND for the compliments on my blog layout! You're too sweet!

So, you're supposed to wash your face every night? Oops. In all seriousness I KNOW this but I rarely remember/think to do it. Thankfully I've been working out at night and will do so in the shower after my workout. Otherwise I often go to bed with make-up on. I know I'll regret it later in life, and I am sort of regretting saying it here. Admitting an issue is the first step in correcting the problem, right?

  6. oh no it IS a bursitis! ouch! although, couch arrest does sound pretty amazing :) :)

Let me know what you think of 50 shades if you start it. I'm still too scared (& maybe a bit prudish)

  7. Hey sister friend! Glad we can be friends! Sooo, #1. I am reading Shades of Gray - not my type of book but I kept hearing about it and I thought I should at least read the first part... I got half way into it and I just can't decide how I feel about it...

SEcondly, I have bursitis also. It's in my shoulders - its the most painful, uncalled for disease. I'm so young to have it, too. In college I would worked in retail so on Saturday morning/afternoon I would be swamped checking people out and carrying clothes to the fitting room and EVERY Saturday night I would end up crashing after work from the pain.

My fiance is a medical student so he's constantly looking for remedies because my biggest fear is that when we have children it will get worse - as I carry them, carseats, bags, etc. Scary huh!

  8. Super excited for your blog swap!
I didn't really care what 50 Shades was about, but I was more or less offended by the horrible writing. I mean, it's probably an easy read if you're looking for something beachy, but it's just poorly written.
    Hope you feel better soon!

  12. You MUST read 50 Shades of Grey! Funny- I just had a conversation at work today about it. I loved it & then some people had completely different views than me. It's interesting to see varied the views are on it. Read it so you can tell me what you thought :)
