Oh man, what a fantastic long weekend!

Wednesday was my birthday and we sure made quite the long weekend of celebrating. We went to the family cabin, did a lot of relaxing, watched an unreal amount of Christmas movies, celebrated Thanksgiving with one side of the fam, and caught up with longtime friends. So amazing.

Have an Adventurous Weekend!

Happy Friday, friends!

I took off early so I could grab my bearded man and venture west.

It's the cabin life for us! Last night we had dinner at our Carolyn's Essenhaus, caught an incredible sunset from the deck overlooking the pond, saw a family of deer at dusk, and played with a wild black kitty that I'm secretly planning on bringing home with us (don't tell Adam...).

Heading in to the nearest town to grab our favorite Mexican food for lunch and see an early showing of the 3rd installment of The Hunger Games. Isn't my phone blogging award-winning?! ;)

7 Things on My Birthday Wishlist

Happy Veterans Day!
I want to first take a moment to say a big and very special thank to all of you who have served so bravely. Your courage is so inspiring and I greatly appreciate the many things you sacrifice for our freedom.

 Thanking and honoring our beloved vets is just another reason why the month of November is the very best birth month. ;) And speaking of birthdays, my 28th is coming up a week from tomorrow. I've had lots of raised eyebrows and questions about what would be on my birthday wish list, so I thought I would help my family out by making this extra easy (**wink wink, hubby**).

 These few things are things that I already love or have had my eye on for quite awhile. I always have an on-going "Wishlist" board on Pinterest, because I have a habit of forgetting! :)

 1) Crate & Barrel // Pottery Barn - Christmas Decor + Gift Cards

 I know, I know... I hear it every year { Mom! }, "Why on earth is there Christmas stuff on your bday list?" Well, quite simply? I have a complete obsession with Christmas, and there is absolutely nothing I would like better than cute decor to make our house feel more magical and cozier.

I'm in love with anything rustic, modern, and chic (hello sparkles!), so I am eye balling a few things. I want our home to feel like a cozy whimsical lodge, and would love gift cards to shop 'til I drop!

2) Artwork + Prints

Yup, I love anything you would find at a hole in the wall fair trade, organic, hippie chic coffee house, including these spectacular prints! We need some fun artwork for the Haskins House!

3) Nespresso Machine

My cousin Tracy made me the world's fastest most delicious almond milk lattes with this Nespresso machine and I have been googly eyed for one ever since last winter!

4) Rifle Paper Co. 

I absolutely love Rifle Paper Co. and all that Anna Rifle creates, including her cute calendars, redesigned classic book covers, and prints!

5) Turbo Fire DVD Set

I have seriously wanted this workout set for a year and have yet to buy it. With the winter months approaching quickly, getting out in the cold to hit the gym is losing it's luster. I would love to be able to get a great workout in at home! My friends RAVE about Turbofire!

6) Pottery Barn Robe + Slippers 

These are hands down the softest, coziest set I've ever felt! I am loving the ivory/gray ombre robe and slippers.

7) Cute Kitchen Accessories

I always love every kitchen Anthropologie trinket! I would love a gorgeous pie plate and spoon rest in a cool pattern. It makes cooking twice as fun. And then as a perfect duo to cute dishes, I think I need to top it all off with some cute Barr-Co. or Cucina soap + lotion sets. Love.

15 Must Have Holiday Cards

I don't know about you all, but I can hardly believe we are almost half way through November. Where on earth did the fall go?

 Before we know it the holidays will be here, which means I need to get on top of picking out a beautiful personalized Christmas card. Every year we send a little note of love to friends and family and have started a tradition of including a little Christmas letter inside. We absolutely love sending ours out, and enjoy looking at all of the wonderful cards we get that make opening the mail fun for a solid month!

This year I have my eye on some beauties from Minted. I absolutely love their site and have purchased everything from business cards to art prints, and you can't beat their high quality holiday card line. Here are the 15 choices I can't get enough of. I was drawn to anything nature inspired, kraft paper, pretty designs and gold foil.
