Mingle Monday Blog Hop!!

Looks like it's that time again!
So happy you dropped by to spice up your Monday with some mingling. I look forward to it every week, and I hope it continues to be fun/helpful to all of you!

I had a fantastic weekend seeing my parents for a surprise visit, and hanging out with one of our favorite couples at the cabin!

Lots of fun posts coming up this week, so stay tuned, okay? A big thank you for all of the kind e-mails from those of you who tried a recipe from my Meg's Go-To Christmas Cookie Guide post and loved it! Keep 'em coming - I love hearing from you! :)

ALSO - Lots of you have been contacting me about ordering from my Cozy Couture Headwraps Etsy shop... well this is your chance!

If you would like to place an order as a holiday gift, I recommend doing so by Wednesday to ensure it arrives to you by the holidays! :)

  1. I've only ever made peppermint bark as a gift. I would probably have to pay someone to take anything that I made as a craft! :)

  2. I have attempted to make Christmas gifts (attempted being the operative word), but I'm TERRIBLE at DIY. I've yet to find something that I can make, so I typically stick with store bought goods ;)

Thanks for hosting this week my dear!

    xoxo,
    Joelle

  3. I have been making a lot of kids crafts lately and giving them as gifts to the Grandparents.

  4. I've never attempted a DIY X-Mas gift. Not that I haven't wanted to, but I fear that I will screw it up because I'm not the most crafty person in the world :/

  5. I've made an apron for my neighbor for Hanukkah and pet beds for my parents. This year my sister will be getting custom scrubs in the theme of her alma mater.

  6. Last year, I put a picture in a frame for Donny and wrote lyrics to a special song on the mat around it. He LOVED it. This year, I'm going to do something like the "what a difference a day makes" prints, but with photos in a collage frame. I love DIY projects!

  7. Right now I'm working on sewing a set of placemats for my grandma--handmade presents are so fun!

  9. A few years ago, I made rice-filled pouches for my mom and sisters. You can microwave them for 2 minutes and then they stay warm for awhile. Perfect for staying cozy while watching TV, or to take in the car on a cold morning.
I'm working on some ideas for this year, too.

  10. I am making handmade holiday gifts this year, I found the craft on Pinterest. You take mason jars and glue little trees or whatever you want (trees are best) to the lid then poor in fake snow into the jar, screw on the lid, turn it upside down and you have your own little forest christmas snow globes! Really easy and cute gifts.

  11. For the past few years, I've made ornaments for friends and family. It's fun, personal, and gives my post-semester idle hands something to do!

  13. Answer:
This year I am making a homemade gift for my parents out of their years of collected wine corks! I am putting them in flat frames and creating pot rests for the kitchen!

    Thanks for hosting Meg!

  17. I don't think I've made anyone Christmas presents since elementary school.
But I did make my mom some earrings and a necklace and gave her the necklace for her birthday!

  18. Hi Meg, thanks for hosting this blog hop! I love finding new blogs and meeting awesome people. I'm a new follower and yes, I've handmade some Christmas gifts before. Cards, photo related items such as collages or restored photo frames that I painted and filled with a special photo and baking! :)
